For most of us digestion is not something we have to think about as it takes place normally. We are able to get on with every day life without worrying about how our inner bodies work. Unfortunately, for some people normal digestion is something they long for. Digestion conditions can and do have a direct impact on living life to its full extent.
IBD (Crohns Disease and Ulcerative Colitis)
If you are a sufferer of IBD such as Crohns disease, Ulcerative Colitis then you will be all to aware of the symptoms which range from sickness, diarrhoea, fatigue, rectal bleeding and abdominal pain. Living with this condition can you leave you at times not being able to leave the house even if you wanted to as the fatigue can really take hold.
IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)
I personally have had the odd occasion of episodes of IBS. The worse part for me was the abdominal pain and bloating, I really struggled to cope with this. I did also suffer with constipation and diarrhoea.
For me IBS was something I was able to control by being more careful about what I ate and I also found that taking Aloe Vera really did help me.
More and more over the years I have become more aware of people suffering from food sensitives and allergies. The most common is probably the nut allergy which I know I had never come across until about 10 years ago. Now everything I look at has a warning that it may contain nuts.
Thankfully I do not have to pay much attention to the labels, apart from making sure there are not too many E numbers in them. Imagine the frustration when suffering from food sensitives of having to look through all the ingredients. When you are out for a meal checking that nothing will cause those all to familiar symptoms of stomach cramps, nausea or diarrhoea. In the case of nut allergy making sure you is nut free to avoid the awful reaction that you can get.
Ulcers on the whole are caused by the bacterium Helicobacter Pylori.
Other factors that can cause ulcers are alcohol, smoking, caffeine, non-steroid-anti-inflammatory drugs, pepsin and hydrochloric acid. One of the most common symptoms of ulcers are a burning pain in your abdomen between your breastbone and navel.
GORD/GERD (Gastro-oesophageal Reflux Disease)
Quite simply as I had never heard of this before either before I researched this subject. GORD is where gastric acids are allowed to reflux into the food pipe. This can result in acid indigestion and even possible injury to the oesophageal lining. Feeling hoarseness in the morning and even having trouble in the morning swallowing, having the feeling that you have food stuck in your throat is quite common when you have this condition.
Finding relief from digestive problems such as IBD (Crohns Disease and Ulcerative Colitis), IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), Food sensitivities, Peptic ulcers and GORD/GERD (Gastro-Oesophageal Reflux Disease) is an ongoing hunt for sufferers. You may be aware that aloe vera can help with these conditions and this is true but only if the aloe vera plant used is pure and potent and is not mixed with any undesirable ingredients. So be careful when looking at products to help try and ease your condition. Products such as Aloeride which tick all the right boxes are proving to be hugely effective in helping to relieve these conditions and in some cases seeing them disappear all together.
